Hold or sell BCS reservations?

Buddy of mine reserved the right to buy two tickets to the BCS championship game IF Bama makes it. He has $170 invested and could sell now for $775. What would you do in this situation?

If it was part of a discretionary budget hold them, if it would help pay off the car sell them.

Tickets were going for 1k last year. And that was in arizona. Hold and sell for over 1500 because either lsu or bama will be in and both fanbases will pack out the superdome
