This looks horrible for PSU.

Allegations are bad enough, but the fact that it was known about, covered up, and then lied about in court really shows the depth of depravity of the
Penn State staff.

This should decimate their recruiting for years to come.

I hope Spence goes to a place he likes.
No way my kid would be allowed at Penn State.
That coach should have been suspended with an investigation. then fired because they would have found out what he did.
The way things were handled makes it seem they did not want to know.
How can you let these acts continue without beating the guy to a pulp? Doing nothing means granting permission to the acts.

It really pisses me off that Paterno is coming out and making statements like "If this is true, then we were all fooled"

bullshite.........You had a graduate asst come to you and tell you that your most important coach and Defensive Coordinator was RAPING a 10 yr old boy in the showers and all you chose to do was have a meeting with the head of the athletic dept and as a "punishment", you took away his keys to the field house.....ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!?!?!?!

This is absolutely disgusting, and it amazes me that people are trying to defend Paterno, the administration, and even this creepy pedophile. What this guy did is unforgivable and I hope his arse gets ripped to shreds on a daily basis for the rest of his life by a bunch of huge mean-arse criminals in prison.

All of those involved should be fired. Paterno and the two others are scum and they are all guilty......whether it be due to their knowledge and lack of action, the fact that they are now lying about it, or simply the fact that they let this bastard continue to rape young boys when it was obvious that inappropriate things were taking place.

Maybe they had reason to believe the grad student wasn't telling the truth? Also a matter of credibility. Who you going to believe a grad student or a good friend?

Not defending anyone just saying that its easy in hindsight to put blame places, while events are unfolding its much harder to know whats going on.

The only way psu gets past this is to totally clean house including Paterno. He's past being a coach anyway. Just a figurehead. Some people just don't know when its time to throw in the towel.

Yeah, regardless of JoePa getting out of this, I think this is going to end his career.

Regardless if he were going to retire this year or not, these charges are way too serious for him to be able to stick around.

I think they have to clean house here.

So this means the Tigers will likely use one of the 4-6 (or however many are left) scholarships for Spence, a great choice. They should have as good a shot at landing Spence as anyone, as the Tigers were already in the running for him even before the PSU allegations were revealed. I would take him over Liggins & just try to get a QB in the 2013 class.
