LSU is basically a 10-year phenomenon. Boise with more humidity -- really good for a short stretch.

Does this mean Florida is a 20 year phenomenon? Boise with JORTS?

What a maroon!

The only 10 year phenomenon was when we sucked in the 90's

Also, pretty sure the category was All-Time wins rather than percentage. Which would show that LSU is 12th, as a poster has already said, and more than a ten year phenomenon.

True - they were part of Division 1 from 1968 to 1977. Division 1 split into 1A and 1AA in 78, Boise State was in Division 1AA from 78 to 95. Their wins during that period do not count in the win% quoted in my previous post.

If you use only the period from 96 through 2010, Boise State is #2 in win% behind tOSU and LSU is tied for 7th with UGA.

You can run % (and wins) for any periods on Win Percentages

Actually, from someone outside of SEC football, this may make a bit of sense considering LSU went 40+ years without a National Championship. 11 years has been LSU rise, it is a very complementary article.

I agree. You got to take the whole article in context. Pro LSU for sure.

Dodd is little more than a Paul Finebaum wannabe, as pathetic as that is to consider.

Dodd is a much better writer than Finebaum. Finebaum is the Jerry Springer of college football.

Like it or not the Tigers didn't become a consistent national power until Saban came to Baton Rouge. That is all that Dodd is trying to say, but his choice of similie is way off target. I remember sitting in the stands as a kid in the 70s and 80s and watching Bama kick our arse year after year.

Honestly, I really don't give a steaming pile of red elephant shite what has happened in the past. This LSU football team is the best I have ever seen at this point in the season. I am 100% certain we will kick their arse tomorrow.

No, historically, LSU isn't Alabama, or amongst the elite of the elite.

But, all of those programs enjoyed a good decade or two of success to get there. LSU is in the middle of its decade of dominance, and is indeed arriving there. We're knocking on the door, and could kick that fricker in on Saturday.

I guess he wanted his name to be lit up on the rant. That statement makes no sense what so ever.
