Needless to say our T position is extremely weak, (Long and Quinn looked All-World yesterday) however no one is debating that. What is extremely surprising is the play of our G's. Evans and Nicks are often referred to as the best G tandem in the league. For Christ's sake they are rated 98 and 96 respectively in Madden. (For those don't put much stock in Madden ratings, they are very accurate); (I might need to retract that statement sooner than later bc they should and probably drop in the next Xbox Live update). Anyway enough nintendo talk, Nicks gave up a sack yesterday. James Laur. ducked under an attempted Nicks block making him look like a clumsy piece of crap. More important than pass protection G's are responsible for initiating the push to get the run game going. We are ranked 12th in the league in rushing (117ypg), but if you take away the great rushing game we had against the colts (237 yds) we would be averaging right around 98 ypg ranking us at 26th in the league. If we don't get this turned around and start pushing DL's around, intimidating teams I don't think we can value the OL, or the G position, as we have been for the past 5 years.

i cringe every time people talk up our Guards because when I hear all pro guards I expect to see the largest holes known to man, not the shite we have become accustom to seeing over the last two weeks.

I keep trying to think what has changed from this year to two years ago, but for the most part, our personnel hasn't changed much. Most would agree our rb corps is deeper, and the changes to the OL(outside of Goodwin)haven't been considered by most experts as drastic or particularly troublesome.Hopefully, something changes so that we can get back to 30 runs a game to set up play action, because we are too predictable.
