Did Texas basically ruin college football?

WVU in the Big 12? Missouri in the SEC? All for the sake of a shitty personal network?

There goes tradition. There goes regional pride.

Hey, Longhorns... you might think your sh*t doesn't stink but

Missouri cared more about stability than the LHN. The issues Missouri had with LHN were cleared up before they left. LHN started it all but OU,OSU,TT and Texas all trying to run to the Pac 12 only to be turned down on Sept. 20th made it hard to see stability. Texas came back and refused to commit more than 6 years or allow more than 10 universities.

When going to 12 schools and a 10 to 13 year grant of TV rights were put on the table and Texas balked it was easy to see they aren't interested in the long term stability of the conference. Missouri saw it as more of the same where many schools wanted something other than Texas but most refused to stand up to them.

Missouri just doesn't trust that Texas is committed for the long haul and aren't prepared to continue kissing Texas boots and doing what they want.

Oh puhleeze, what did Texas do to ruin the conference? Texas is still there. Are you saying LSU (or any other school, aggy included) would have turned down $300MM if offered for your 3rd tier rights? And if you say no, you're lying or could get more than that. Maybe the latter.

Not a damn one of the schools that left or are leaving left because of the LHN. I don't really care. It doesn't impact me one way or the other. I like LSU and I like Texas. Split personality I guess. I'll be pulling for LSU Sat. night and not because Ala. beat Texas for the MNC. I think it's your year.
