I am part of the wedding party for a wedding scheduled to start at the same time of the Bama/LSU game on Sat. Nov. 5. Last week, it did not present much of a problem because the game was slated to begin at 2:30 pm. In fact, we had planned to watch the game together before the wedding. But it became of very big conflict when the game was moved to primetime. Everyone now is shocked and silent.
I'm very close friends with the groom (and some one this board may be invited to the wedding), but I hate to miss watching the game. I am a huge Tiger fan and LSU almum. Any suggestions other than not attending the wedding? I hope to try to watch part of it on the I-phone if it is not too obvious.

You will always have friends getting married. This game will only happen once.

It's their fault that no one will show up for their wedding. The marriage probably won't last anyways.

We have a bachelor party this weekend, so that may not be a bad idea.

You're not obligated to go to Saturday weddings in the fall unless you are the father of the bride.

Did the bride & groom go to lsu? If not, you can't blame them for not planning around our schedule. If that's not the case, don't go. That's the price they pay for putting it on the biggest game of the year.

Only because you're IN the wedding, fulfill your duty to your friend, tell them keep the ceremony short, and they better arrange for a TV somehow, someway at the recpetion. Hopefully catch the game towards the end of the first half. It'll be good karma.
If the bride or her mother have a problem with that, frick 'em. They shoulda known better to schedule their wedding the day of the Bama game anyway...the time doesn't matter.

Seriously, if you're in it you won't have to miss that much of it. iPhone is a good idea. Just figure CBS will make this one last forever . Try to bribe the priest to begin the ceremony the instant halftime starts.
