Nope. Both teams with no losses and thus, equal chances of going to the BCS. Best team will win.

If this LSU team plays their game the way we have been playing we will win. If we screw around and get penalties and turn the ball over we will lose. IMO The bad officiating that took place in previous games would not have been a big deal if LSU would have played up too their full potential ALL game.

Let me say this. Historically, I have dismissed officiating consipiracies as nonsense.
However, no one has ever given me a legitimate, principled explanation of how the replay officials in 2009 could have missed that PP interception. It's CLEARLY an interception. The replay officials had the luxury of reviewing it ad naseum in SLOW MOTION. How do you miss it? It's one thing to make an error on a close play in real time. That's understandable. It's quite another to make an erroneous call when you have the opportunity to review reolay after replay.
Someone give me a principled, rational explanation for the replay officials' conduct that doesn't involve bias or inexcusably gross incompetence.

I don't think it will be close enough for the refs to decide.

Didn't you watch the 06 Auburn game?

I'm not as worried about the obvious penalties (false start, delay of game, facemask, etc.) as I am about the ones that are judgement calls or "not always seen" (taunting, holding, etc.). The obvious ones can be avoided by just making sure to play right and pay attention. The others....we'll just have to hope that the refs make good decisions.

Didn't they say something about not having HD monitors in the booth at Alabama? Seems like I remember hearing something like that the week after the game...all of the video equipment was SD, no HD feeds at that time. I don't know for sure though.

les has learned how crooked the sec officiating is. he (and lsu) will not let the game be close.
au gained 20 yards just by the sec spots that they were given last week.
al will be given 30 yards, 3 interference calls, and lsu will still win by 30.
this is a game of lsu/les vs the sec/slive.

You act like there's never been a bad call in an SEC game before.
It happens in almost every game, every season. LSU's chances of being screwed are no higher than anyone else's.

I don't agree. There are too many Alabama and Auburn homeboy calls, one as recently as Saturday night during your game with TN.
The Peterson interception was so blatantly a bad call. BAMA and their crimson jockstrap wearing officials need a good arse kicking.

Unless the opponent is the gumps. Then there are multiple blown calls and conveniently always in favor of the gumps. They are the Patriots after 9/11... And the Celtics of the 80s.
Well see in a couple weeks if the gumps actually have to play the game or not.

For some reason I'm worried the ref that flagged Wing is gonna call a BS penalty. He's always yelling at our players after big plays.

No one disputes the fact that it was a bad call. It was almost as bad as the screwjob the refs gave us in 2004 at Tiger Stadium.

This is the reason LSU fans have the reputation they do. Just curious, when Arkansas beats you, you obviously can't blame it on Bama favoritism. So what's the typical excuse for that game?

Does it not take all the enjoyment out of the game when you approach every play with a built-in excuse? It seems like watching the games wouldn't be any fun imho.

The SEC refs got away with the "no-call" after the replay on PP7's interception because they called it an incomplete pass. If you noticed the refs huddled after that play to "discuss" before going to the replay. Oh by the way I was at the '06 AUBURN game and, YES, I believe that SEC refs are NOT on the "up and up"!

The no "holding" calls on Bama do worry me. They get away with it, because its never called on them.

It does take enjoyment out of the game knowing the only way the gumps will beat lsu is if the refs carry them... And they usually do. Fortunately lsu only plays the inbreds once a year. So I can get to enjoy the rest of the games... You know... The ones where the refs play fair.
