Depth at running back. I think LSU has the advantage here. FOUR backs that Miles can keep fresh and rotate frequently.
The two BAMA backs are great, But LSU will have the advantage in the fourth quarter when its GUTCHECK time. LSU scores 14 in the fourth quarter to win by 10

Not a bad take. I do like the fact that we also have a fairly broad stable of D-line to rotate against Bama's O-line. They are beasts! We gonna need all hands on deck for this one.

I agree...with almost everything you said.

Not to mention, thank god we have a 280 lb fullback that can take out their 260 lb linebackers so that our run game doesn't get stuffed.

I said it before and will say until we beat Bama, we have advantage at several positions, but our unmatchable depth will be what wins it for us...

I don't know... those Bama running backs sure are runnin' fools

Fullback will be KEY. BAMA LBs are very good. I have a really good feeling.
And BTW, thank you Les for not taking your foot off the gas in the second half!!

Depth, execution, and time of possession will surely be factors in this game. As will the disposition of the refs, if you know what I mean.

Of course special teams, but all the Richardson talk had me thinking... That dude will be tired in the fourth quarter. Ford, blue, Ware, Hilliard...Jefferson...all should be well rested

bottom line it will come to stopping TR between the tackles and force AJ to beat us, our ability to go vertical, and capitalize on mistakes and specialteams. FWiw, bama's special teams are meh

They have 3 RB's that they use, not just 2.
Trent Richardson 8 149 989 6.6 17
Eddie Lacy 7 58 465 8.0 5
Jalston Fowler 8 47 329 7.0 3

Depth at running back.
i respectively disagree. bama has a better running game than LSU. fact. and their run defense will keep it that way. they also have more depth in the front 7 than we've faced all year. this game will come down to LSU figuring out how to score points while averaging less than 4 yds a carry on the ground (maybe closer to 3). we are going to have to run to set up the pass or pass to set up the run; either way we win via the air. that is assuming we take care of business on defense and special teams.
