Wow!

Here's a simple formula to use when trying to create a position on an issue...any issue: try to incorporate logic and facts into the equation.

Facts:

1. The ACC now has a $20 million exit fee.
2. The ACC is as stable as the SEC.
3. The ACC per team revenue is within shouting distance of the per team share in the SEC.
4. Florida and S. Carolina don't want Florida State and Clemson in their back yard.

Those are facts. This should be the conclusion a reasonable person should come to when incorporating these facts into the argument:

Florida State and Clemson aren't going anywhere anytime soon.

I hope this helps.

Whether you think you can or you think you can't - you're right. Paraphrased from Henry Ford. There are a lot of impossible things in this world my man, but getting a college team to move conferences is not one of them. Open up your mind.

This is an opinion. Just to be clear.

I would have liked the addition of VT if we could pick any team.

All true, but a couple points I'd like to make.
First, I think it may have something to do with the fact that the SEC is substantially harder to be one of the 2 BCS teams in that winning the ACC. Maybe FSU and Clemson are a little hesitant because of that as well, though I expect FSU will reemerge as one of the elites in the next few years.

Another thing is I hate the argument that UF and USCe don't want them in. Man the frick up and show what you can do when you have to work harder. Bama/Auburn seems to work out fine as does MSU/OM though both are mostly irrelevant. I seriously do not think that FSU in particular is going to pull in that many more top recruits just because of moving to the SEC. They were already #1 last year
