My Dad for some reason always took me to Ole Miss games when they were in Baton Rouge. My First ever Tiger Stadium football game was the '64 Ole Miss game. The only problem was my Dad always like to leave early. 6-7 minutes left to go to "Beat traffic". So during the '72 Ole Miss game I begged for us to stay because I knew we were going to win. He indulged me until 2 minutes were left and he made us go. I heard the thunderous roar as we were making our way around the stadium to our car and some guy with a radio tells us that we won on a miracle play. I stared at my dad but he just kept on walking to the car. I have never, ever left early when I am the one driving because of that.

My dad is a minister, but a great LSU fan. We had a church function for the '72 Ole Miss game, but we were listening to the second half on the radio on the way home. That game got so exciting at the end he had to pull over by te Krispy Kreme on Plank Road to listen to the end of the game. When we scored we all were screaming and hollering in the car. The patrons of the doughnut shop were looking at us like we were idiots. That was a great memory.

We also were sitting in the stands in the North End Zone during the monsoon for Miami. That was the most miserable I have ever been for a football game, but my Dad would not leave until the end of the game. Another great memory.
