When I lived in London, I checked the site every day. It was great to have one place to go to get a quick roundup on what was happening with LSU sports.

God Bless Don and his family.

I start every day with a visit to his site and a cup of coffee. Like visiting with a good LSU fan friend every day. Like others on this thread ... I hope he sees another LSU National Championship.

Many, many prayers sent for Dandy Don. I have had the pleasure of meeting him on about three occasions, including making a special trip to Lafayette a few years ago to have coffee and talk LSU sports with his group. Plus, he has often responded quickly to my e-mails. It would be great if he could at least make it long enough to see the Tigers win another BCS crown.

Really hope he gets to see another Championship.

I've been following his posts since 2002.

Maybe one day soon you'll be honored midfield at Tiger Stadium for all your contributions to the Tiger Nation.

What a great gift this would be to a man that has made it his life to promote LSU. And just imagine what it would mean to him.

Someone at LSU, make this happen!

I've been reading Dandy Don for years. Most of his long time followers feel like we know him even if never meeting him in person.
Even if we often pick on his optimism, the guy has dedicated a good portion of his life to getting us average fans valuable information on all the major LSU Sports

saw him work some HS games... and..
went fishing with him too... also hooked him up w a HS coach or two....

I sent Scott an email this morning after reading about his father and just wanted to share his response and how much they appreciate the feed back they are receiveing from the Tiger Nation.

Edward,

Thank you very much for your kind words. I'm glad to hear that your father is doing better thanks to MDA. MDA is a truly impressive facility.

I'm really humbled by the response we've received from the Tiger Nation this morning in response to my message. I hope that you will continue to keep us in your prayers, and continue to keep dandydon.com a part of your regular routine for many, many years to come.

Thanks again,

Scott Long

Dandy Don became the way that I started the day since I got my first computer. He is a friend that I have never met. I thank you and I know that God will become a bigger fan once you unite with him and your wife in heaven. Fear not. We hope that your remaining time is good for you and your family.

Same here - I've never met him in person, but he is the kind of guy I'd love to have as a friend or neighbor. Don just comes across as good people, and he shares not just his knowledge and wisdom but also his heart. God bless Dandy Don! Geaux Tigers
