Not that it would happen, but half the conference being in Texas would give you a Red River rematch championship game most years, something a little more compelling nationally than Texas or OU against K-State or Louisville.

Every remaining option has flaws.
Boise--too far away, nothing to offer except football
Houston/SMU--adding another Texas team means another hog at the trough without making the trough bigger
UL/Cincy/WV--geographical outliers to the east, sucky academics, mediocre football
Tulane--terrible football and MBB programs
Memphis--terrible football, MBB can't win without cheating
If they do take anyone else, they have to decide which factors matter and which ones don't.
