What?

We lack marque players (which is ok by me).

QB's = yes
WR's = nope
RB's = nope
TE's = maybe
OT's = nope
OG's = maybe
OC's = nope

Defense = several very good players but NO MARQUE PLAYERS....(also several average and journeyman type players)...

Are you kidding me? Glover had it all. Guy was a lean mean run stuffer and pass rusher for us. He had 17 sacks one season and went to 6 straight pro bowls and a 3 time all-pro. Granted that most of his pro bowls were with the Cowboys, but he became big with the Saints. Being a Saint may have cost him 2 additional pro bowls. He played 100% in every game. When I say every game, I'm talking about he missed 1 game in his 5 years as a Saint and didn't miss any games as a Cowboy until his final year before retirement.

Sorry TigerPhan, I meant best defensive lineman since Wayne Martin. I believe Martin was hitting his decline when Glover came on to the team.

We have two pro bowl guards with one being all-pro and becoming a pro bowl regular. I hope the NFL's highest paid interior lineman isn't a maybe marquee player.

Judging from what we have seen, the only thing that would keep Jimmy from being a marquee TE is injury or a contract holdout.

They should have put Kyle Turley on defense in 2001, he's all the defense you need.

I always invisioned him living in Predator's spaceship, instead of human skulls, it would be other teams' helmets.

(with or without the skulls skill in them)

Tehy are very good at pass blocking, we still cannot convert short yardage with regularity. Marque is debateable.

He may become marque with time. His is not at this time.

That 2000 defense had some shitty LBs and secondary.

The league has changed so much in 11 years, you are looking at it by today's standards. In 2000, the defense was stout and well designed for the time. By today's standards, it would be a bit slow to handle today's offensive schemes.
