lsu, kentucky, and vandy are the only three sec stadiums not named after an individual or two.

if miles were to stay here for another ten years and capture one or more n.c.'s, how would you handle it if tiger stadium were changed to "miles' stadium"? or, would you just be ok for the field to be called "miles' field"?

I'd rather them rename a street like Skip Bertman has. Maybe S. Stadium can be Les Miles Dr.

First, Mile won't be here 10 more years. He'll retire before then - here or Michigan, but probably here. Second, call it anything you want but most of us are still going to call it Tiger Stadium, aka Death Valley.

Let's not erect a TEBOW statue before he leaves or retires. If he keeps up this pace though, it definitely should be considered after the dust settles.

Who knows, if Les accomplishes a lot more in his tenure in Baton Rouge, why not name one of these after him: Athletic Administration Bldg., Football Indoor Practice Bldg., Football Operations Bldg, etc. or maybe a campus street.

When Les Miles does or becomes known for what other campus athletic facility namesakes have accomplished (Pete Maravich Assembly Center, Alex Box Stadium, Bernie Moore Track Stadium, Huey P. Long Fieldhouse, Carl Maddox Fieldhouse, Lawton Room, the Charles McClendon Practice Facility, the Jeff Boss Locker Room) he may have to.... you know.... have gone to that Big Hat in the sky to get his name on something.

TS should always be TS. Miles field as a side note is fine. Maybe a statue too.

Exactly! We're one of the few without a retarded sounding stadium name so why would you even suggest changing it? Punch yourself in the face until you understand this concept. Can you imagine Dietzel-Miles Stadium?

We have Death Valley. What more could you want?

Tiger Stadium has and always will have a special feeling. I get chill bumps when I say it.

LSU does not, generally, honor people by renaming stuff while they are still alive.

The PMAC was not renamed until after Maravich's death. Ditto for the CMAC. The only thing named after Shaq, that I can determine, is the Shaquille O'Neal lodge at the Cook Hotel on Lakeshore Drive.

IF those are my options - (I would prefer maybe the football operations building being renamed Miles Hall) - I'll take "Les Miles Field at Tiger Stadium", but I'm not overly enthusiastic about it.

(ETA: I would also like all of the toilets in the stadium to be referred to as "Hallmans")

This thread was started because of the recent naming of the dome. The only reason the done has been named is because benson owns a Benz dealership. I like miles but I'm also a traditionalist. Never change tiger stadium I don't care what Leslie has done
