Where do you rank Les Miles as a head coach?

I personally believe him, Stoops, and Saban are the best 3 currently coaching, but have trouble separating them.

What has stoops done lately? I'd take Mack Brown over him.

i'd place him in the top ten easily

Top 3 for actual coaching.
No. 1 for entertainment.

Top 3 with him being the best fit for LSU

Miles is one of the top 5 coaches in college football. His record speaks for itself. We have heard the rumors year in and year out and all he does is consistantly win.

WTF are you smoking?!?!?!?!?!
Mack Brown is freaking awful. He had a handful of players carry his teams over the past 10 years. Worst of all is that he is in the most talented state in the country and his team turned in a 5-7 performance last year.
Don't get me wrong, I think that "Big Game Bob Stoops" most certainly has not been "Big Game" here for the better part of the last decade, seeing his lack of ability to make adjustments during games, but the man is by far no slouch. There is a reason why he has won about 70% of the Big 12 Championships since he has been at the school

At this moment...best on the face of the planet.
After the first loss, the Rant will rank him just below Hudson "Curley" Hallman and slightly ahead of some random dead guy.

Miles brings in a lot of intangibles to the table that makes him the best manager. In modern day coaching where elements are so specialized, coaches like Miles (yeah, the who many considers as an idiot) will have more success than the "best" coaches. Miles will have more titles than the Sabans and Stoops when all is said and done.

If you judge talent and results together he is probably Top 10. He isn't top 5 to me though. There are some coaches who can't attract top talent yet still display great results. We get the best talent and seem to have more disappointments than overachievement. There are things I like about him that I dislike about other top coaches though. Each has their strengths and weaknesses.

Seriously?!?! He has his team consistently in top 10, make big bowl every year, and has 1 MNC and played for two others.

Miles and Saban above Stoops. All are top five obviously.
Honestly I'll put Saban #1 because he is just relentless and driven but Miles is right there for me. Radically different style but he gets results.

Miles and Saban are top 2. And they can be flip flopped 1 and 2 based on many arguments. Although they go about it in completely different ways, they get the same result.

actually, I think he's under achieving. I personally think Alleva needs to pull his head out of his arse, get on TD, and hire LSU a truly talented HC. It is amazing how many elite coaches we have posting here.........and wasting that talent on DAY JOBS!!!!!!

With no talent in Texas, he has done a great job coaching the leftovers from other states!
