That certainly was the catalyst for our high-powered offense last season.

We still don't have one this year. Its amazing how last year everyone bitched about total offense but now they don't. We have had 4-5 tds b/c of defense and special teams and numerous others set up by defense.

There is a HUGE difference in last year's offense and this year's. I won't debate the reasons why, but I will emphatically state that this year's top 20 scoring offense blows last year's crap out of the water.

We have won every game by double digits, 4 out of the 5 haven't even been reasonably close. The only game this year that closely resembled last year's offense was the Miss State game, and I think our defense was so awesome that night, Les decided to just sit on the ball on offense. Last year we weren't scoring the ball, and we let weaker teams have a chance to beat us in the 4th quarter, see West Virginia and Tennessee. This year's "total offense" is a result of getting to a big lead early, yes, the defense/special teams have helped, and then just playing keep away from the other team with our running game.

Exactly. That's the difference.

The offense is now capitalizing on the what the defense provides, something they didn't do well last year at times.
