Coach Miles and the players need to man up to this booing...

Explain your actions and stop belly achin over it....Fan's boo for a reason, sometimes in ignorance...so give the fans what they want... Answers!
"Coach Miles, why did you put JJ in that soon before JL had the game under control? Isn't that risky with the lack of reps JJ has had in 6 weeks?"
"JJ, uh...what happened that night, why were you arrested? did you kick anyone"? It's going to get asked...he has been hiding behind attorneys since the night it happened" Redeem your character...
talk to the fans!!!!
If you leave the fan base with many questions, you might get a few boos...its real life.
JL is the starter per Les Miles...LSU is ranked #1 under JL's leadership, that is a fact... The fans don't want to mess up a good thing...that's really all that matters here....
I didn't boo...but I have boo'd Gary Crowton before, several times in utter frustration.
It's equally frustrating to see JL, our starting QB, lead the team in the 1st QTR down to the 3 yard line..and then Miles calls a time out. JJ is put in the game..then we have confusion and should have recieved a penalty...
IMHO The fans were booing Miles decision... It's too bad he can't figure this out.
It's his team, therefore he also should accept responsibility and explain his thinking to the fans for JJ being placed in the game at that point in the game... 100% a suprise to all of us..
Answer the abvious questions before this things gets out of hand.
that's why we have press conferences and coaching shows... Miles will have to answer the tough questions moving forward...it's going to be relentless from here on out.
"Coach, when will JJ be in the game this week against UF?"... a ton of if questions are coming his way...
Then JL has a 3 and out series, and the spiral of doubt looms.. "is he going to pull JL?"
Miles better have a good plan, or he will mess up JL for the rest of the way like he did in 2008.
It's a blessing and a curse to have this situation...
I'm glad I don't have to figure it out...
I think you roll with who brung ya...and that's JL .
I was excited about JJ this summer, but none of these developments were planned.. they happened, now we have to move forward for what is best for the team..
Right now, we don't know if JJ can complete a pass in the new offense... Next week marks the half way point of the regular season already...

Can JJ win the Heisman in just 8 games?

Good post. Miles, IMO didn't explain the situation or his actual plan for JJ to play the amount that he did today.
He doesn't have to either, but he should have been ready for this kind of response

No sane person believes Miles is going to surreptitiously take Lee's starting job and give it to Jefferson.
Sane people understand that this makes our offense much more unpredictable and dynamic. Sane people understand that if Lee is not playing well versus Florida, Tennessee, or Alabama, it would not be a bad thing to give the backup, who's a mobile quarterback, reps to jump start the offense or give the defense a new look. Sane people understand that when Saban is watching film of the LSU offense, he has to dedicate time in practice and in preparation to stop a pro-style offense and an offense geared towards a mobile quarterback. Sane people understand that this presents a problem to other coaches.
However, our fanbase is apparently full of insane people.

I think Les ought to say something to the fans and the players should leave it alone. Let the head coach handle it. Concentrate on playing and stay out of trying to control the fans.

on a Nationally Televised game against Bama or UF, you darn well know, that penalty (12 men break the huddle) is called and LSU is 3rd and goal from the 7!!!
We receive some good ole home cookin on that exchange

I agree, that Miles is just giving UF more to think about...but JL didn't exactly have a good game today.
If felt like a bad scrimmage to me...
I just think you let JL get the team in the endzone in the first QTR...but moving forward, I think JJ will be in on all goal line plays...

So what's your point? Is it that Miles should coach his team based on questions he may be asked during the week? If so, you're being absurd.
