This is a very real possibility. Pick-six? What pick-six?
That's the point though... pick-six IS part of the JL story. I can already see the player profile that will be running later this season, before the SECCG or before the NCG.
IF it holds true, is there a better comeback story? Surely there is, but it's not coming to mind at the moment.
... ok, maybe I should just hope they beat UK first ...

Lee is simply a classy individual, he is not only showing that now but has shown it his entire time at LSU.

Slim
you're changing the subject...the point was made that JJ had no skills...he does...I NEVER said he was a great, or even good quarterback..but it's just not true that he does not have any skills that can help this team.
I MUCH prefer Lee as QB, but don't understand why people have to be sOOOOOOO negative about JJ, or Lee when he had bad times, or Josh Booty, or Dunson, or any other LSU player. JJ brings things to the table that Lee does not. He's a part of this team, is capable of very big things and should be welcomed back to the LSU family like the other 20 kids who broke curfew....
I'd blow a gasket if JJ were put in at starter, but think he has earned some time on the field and can do things Lee can't. Forcing our opponents to prepare for Lee AND JJ can only help LSU.
One doesn't have to be a racist to think Lee is a better QB and one doesn't have be to JJ jock sniffer to think he should get a few snaps....

Ole war skull ,no one can dispute Jefferson's ability to play running back. If you are going to support your case for Jefferson, this is a bad game to use in your defense. We all remember the end of the game like it was yesterday.

Why has everyone already out ruled the idea that just like Coach Krag helped Lee better his QB skills, that just maybe Jeffersons skills have improved, also.

quote:This is part of the consequences that Jefferson brought upon himself. Lee's improvement is obvious. Maybe the same can be said about JJ, but his actions (that night) by default leave it to the imagination. Lee didn't break team rules. Why is this conveniently missing from the conversation?

Exactly what is this supposedly invaluable "skill set" that only Jefferson possesses?
I think that it exists only in Miles' own mind.

I know this has been said, but what scares me most about JJ is that Miles may have a SHORT, too short, leash on Lee and put JJ in. Also, you can see Lee get in rhythm with his passes and play and his confidence grow. Putting in two QB's he doesn't have that luxury. Just scared Lee will now be looking over his shoulder and start to overthink his play. That said, I wish nothing but the best to JJ and hope he can put this Shady stuff behind him.

tigerpawl you are spot on when it comes to prudent reasoning regarding JJ- bottom line: Miles knows he has a special team and he will not put an individual ahead of team. He stated JL (Starter) and JJ (#2)-

quote:I'm not so sure, Venturetiger. That's why I've never been totally on the Les Miles bandwagon. I don't think JJ will start tomorrow, but the thought of fixing something that ain't broke and inserting JJ in the middle a close game or marquis game just to prove the "skill" theory makes me nervous.

Man it really pissed me off to watch JJ bitch at the receivers
Really?? I remember seeing JJ go to the receivers after repeatedly over/under throwing them the ball, and the receiving corp. was like, GTFO!! I dont think JJ commanding the respect of the Off. last year... he was like a wild card, sometimes he really helped.... sometimes not... JL this season really has brought some confidence in this O

This is very refreshing that we finally have some tiger posters that have objective reasoning on this issue- maybe it's happy hour
Miles is smart enough to know that JJ has no leash going forward, if he puts a package in for JJ and he does his "deer in the headlight" impression and gets sacked etc., he will only see the field on injury of JL or holding extra points (which BTW seriously would be a great use for him, this would give you a run/pass threat) where a 2 pt conversion vs. Bama could win the SEC/NC

I totally disagree... JJ is not capable of bigger things... I think it sucks what happen to him, if he really didnt kick the guy in the head, I have no ill feelings against him personally, but on the field... he cant come close to JL.
JL's problems on the field were due to lack of experience, totally not prepared for what happen to him.. JJ had more time and preparation, and a full season for experience... and looked like he regressed.. JJ is an exceptionall gifted athlete, just not a gifted QB. IMO

Jeff hasn't practiced in 5 weeks and should start as 3rd string on the depth chart.

You do realize Jarrett Lee was a sophomore when he was thrown into the fire and Jefferson was a true freshman when he was thrown into the same fire. He lost his redshirt due to what happened with JL. Who felt more pressure to learn faster?
I think both of these guys paid a price in the beginning. And both of them suffered from the pressure of expectation in different ways.
