Miles knows the NC goes through T-town and JJ's skill set is a great competitive advantage. This reason alone is enough to welcome him back with open arms.

I don't disagree with that comment....I think there is a time and place for JJ in this offense....just not as the starter.

I just don't see it. He's not even that great of a running qb.. It's not worth it IMO.
I am a huge 1 quarterback system fan, unless you throw in a true wildcat here and there..

Ask WVA how we did ?

Pretty much one dimensional. Defense would stack the box and spy on him whenever he comes in. Our stable of running backs wouldn't give a hint about a running play and thus would run better.

JJ isn't a dual threat QB. a dual threat QB is someone who can rush for 100 yards and throw for 200 in college. JJ can't throw for 100 yards n barely manages 50 rushing yards. the only way a rushing QB works is if the defense fears his arm. McNeese wasn't afraid of JJ's arm last year

Did you just use west virginia's defense as a measuring stick vs Alabama's?

breezy i love u but please dont agree with this OP. JLee > JJ in terms of offensive production

I believe this too, but it seems like these predictions lead to unlikely high scoring games

No, but who would expect us to drop 47 points on WVA on their home field? Points may be hard to get on a running offense, but with the passing efficiency offense of JL I wouldn't supprise if we hang 3 TDs on the Gumps.

Hey we get to run the option to the short side of the field again,

Why don't you guys ask a Bama fan which qb they'd rather see. We were kickin their arse in 09 till JJ got hurt and we beat'em last year; but we lost in 08 with JL when we had the better team. I don't know why people don't understand that we will probably need JJ at least against that particular defense.

First let me say welcome back JJ. Happy that your ordeal is over and you are back where you belong.
Now to the above quote, do the Saints, Pats, or Colts bring in running QBs on the goal line to add another skill set?

Now that JJ is back, other teams will have to at least spend some practice time going over defending the option. This is not necessarily a bad thing.

Are you watching the games? Are they? Laugh all you want but that Bama front is gonna try to bury JL every time he drops back while the corners sit on the hot routes. I'm not saying he can't get it done, but we'd better have a capable back up.

Playing into our hands. JL is at his best when he has to get the ball off quickly. His pocket awareness/presence is bad. They might rough him up a little, but the receivers, TE most notably, will beat the coverage 90% of the time. I'm more worried about them stopping our power running game. That's where the game will be won or lost. NOT passing.
