The season is over. No more horrible baseball. Have the new optimistic view that they will be good in 5-7 years. Plus the braves choked.

Fun fact: The Brewers won more home games than the Astros won period.

Thanks for Berkman and helping us in the postseason.

What is really mind blowing is that 'Stros fans, myself included, always complain about the ridiculous payrolls of other teams but when you think about it the Astros are in the 4th largest US city with 2 of the larger cities (New York and Chicago) being home to 2 mlb teams. Houston is more than 3x larger than Boston, more than 4x larger than Atlanta, and 6x larger than Tampa Bay and St. Louis. The real question is why can't the Astros find an owner/GM who will spend enough/smart enough for them to be competetive(still reserving judgement on the new ownership) and why can't the fans "fan up" and provide the necessary support since clearly there should be enough fans for this.

pfft, they couldn't even put up a fight and keep the Cards out of the playoffs.

Yes, and they get #1 pick in the draft. I'm sure, with the recent Guillen ordeal, the brain wheels are churning over in Houston. Now not only are they looking for which single-A OF prospects hitting around .265 they can trade the pick for, but now they are also scouting all the single-A first base coaches as well.
