Put him up in one of the trees by mike to watch the band march by. That's what my daughter (now 19) remembers the most from her first game when she was four.

If he can hang to the end, wait for the band as it comes out. The drum major will usually let kids hold the big baton and take pictures. I have pictures of my boys like that that I will always treasure.
Echo what other dads have said. He is only four, and this is a lot of event for a four year old. Let him enjoy the cotton candy and the cokes if that is what he likes more than the game. Walk around a lot. Everything is new to him.
One last pointer. If you hang out in the back of the tiger cage, you can usually catch them loading Mike up into the rolling cage. Kids like that.
