Tony Romo - Most Heroic Performance of All Time?

I've been whatching ESPN for the last hour and that is all they have talked about. He is a decent quarterback, but he didn't even get his team into the endzone last night. They kicked six field goals, and they act like he is the greatest of all time.

ESPN.com AFC East beat reporter Tim Graham recently talked with Tom Martinez, Tom Brady’s longtime personal coach, about the quarterbacks 2009 season. Martinez, Brady’s throwing coach since 1992, spent the Christmas holiday last season working with the Patriots star quarterback on fixing mechanical issues that had plagued Brady for over a month. In Graham’s report, Martinez claims there were not only mechanical, but physical issues that Brady had to deal with late last season stating: “He had a broken finger and three broken ribs,” Martinez said, ostensibly confirming reports Patriots coach Bill Belichick and Brady himself denied during the season. “He wasn’t throwing well. “It’s one of those things where I can see right away what he’s doing. He trusts me, so when I tweak him, it’s right back to where he wants to be. Then, at that point, it probably is psychological.”

cause ESPN sucks Cowboy dick. THEY are the ones still trying to keep the Cowgirls 'AMERICA'S TEAM" its quite sad actually. Romo is a mediocre QB at best. And the cowboys are not that talented. They finish 8-8 at best and ESPN will call them the greatest 8-8 team in NFL history.

no big deal, Rex can look that shitty with no broken ribs

i was at my son's baseball game until late last night, but i caught the end of the game, and i have to admit it was a little comical to listen to the romo praise, and i'm a lifelong cowboy fan.
what i did see of the game, it sure looked like romo was playing with a bunch of children out there. it seemed like he was telling every single player on offense what and where he should be or should have done before and after every single play. couldn't even get his center to snap the ball at the right time.

They looked like LSU's offense the last couple years. Lost, out of place. Lots of delay of games and other stupid penalties. Lots of talent.

i'm sure it didn't help his cause when austin is out and bryant is playing limited snaps.

I don't really care about Romo one way or the other, but it seemed like he was the only person on offense (along with Witten) who had a clue about what was going on. The center was atrocious, as were the receivers and the line.

Easily.
By far.
No player has ever played with pain before, and no one certainly has been able to put up the phenomenal numbers that he did, even if they were healthy.
Romo may be the greatest athlete--no, MAN of our generation. Hell, possibly ever.

The Cowboys players are terrible...it would be interesting to see how he would play with decent talent around him.

The only time Madden left the booth just to go shake a players hand.

His team won, isn't that what matters? You guys bitch when he puts up great numbers and loses. You guys bitch when they win and he only puts up ok numbers. You guys bitch when he plays with broken ribs and a punctured lung. Just deal with it and accept that he is one of the better QBs in the league. Not the best, not elite, but still better than most.
