Obviously, I've got LSU's best interest at heart. But think about it. It would be like the SEC West's version of Vanderbilt. Plus, LSU would play in Houston every other year. That would be totally frickin' awesome.

Move Aubie to the SEC East, done deal.

I would take TCU all day. It would be an easy game though

we need a team for the East...there shouldn't be any shuffling between divisions of current teams.

I wouldn't lose any sleep over Auburn. I think they should have been in the east to begin with anyway.

Plus, the only way to keep some sort of competetive balance would be to get a good ACC team into the SEC east. That doesn't seem likely. The other option is to elevate a team from a lesser conference. Which would give the SEC east another shitty team.

I wouldn't lose sleep over losing LSU, although I have been surprised how fun the series has become. There have been a lot of interesting and impactful football games over a relatively short period. Even so, AU's history with Florida and Tennesse runs much deeper. It is true that AU should have been in the East from the beginning.

And I suppose paying $20 million for the privilege makes sense, too?

Peanuts.

If the SEC has to pay the ACC 20 mil, its cheap.

We are talking about making billion dollar TV deals becoming multi-billion dollar TV deals.

Rice would be a great pickup for the SEC. I know the football only types would hate it and be against it, but you do have to at least pay lip service to academics.

Houston is a huge market and yes Rice has a small following in Houston, but it does further put the SEC in Texas. I'd take Rice over A&M. The SEC gets in Texas with a Vandy type program which is good.

There are probably more LSU and A&M fans in Houston than Rice fans.

Va Tech would be ideal, if the SEC could make it work. I'd even like Virginia, NC State, or Marland.

Exactly, imagine packing Reliant Stadium to watch LSU and Rice play.
