You guys know as well as we do that pretty much every big time football program has their share of drunk a-holes, unfortunately it does seem we have a few more than most fan bases to be honest.

I can't tell you how many times I've been embarrassed by my drunken Tiger Bretheren who've taken "Tiger bait" to the extreme. I've wanted to go smack some young drunken idiots in the past as they've acted so stupid to not only opposing fans but to their own.

Edit: BTW I've been a WV fan since the Pitt Game in 06...

Great post, Jp!

Really hope you stick around. There's a More Sports Board on this site where fans from a lot of different opposing schools have joined to post on the Tiger Rant, and now stick around and can talk about their school and college football in general with fans from many different schools and places. Hope you check it out. You'd be a welcome addition.

You have a couple of voids, when that's filled it will get you there.

Mainly "rushing"

Thanks man, I'll check that out.

I've also rooted for the Saints since visiting New Orleans. It's crazy how much that city loved the Saints, I thought it was awesome.

On another note, I don't think I've had a better time than my 2 nights on Bourbon Street haha.

AS a former LSU student (a long time ago), I take umbrage at your comment about students being the "idiots". I can assure you that the vast majority of trouble makers at LSU games don't attend LSU (or any institution of higher learning), never have, and never will. They have no vested interest in LSU other than to tail gate, get drunk, and give the rest of us a bad name.

I really enjoyed the game, except for being extremely nervous until we nailed it down in the 4th qtr. Your fans acquitted themselves as well as any in the country. You have an excellent team and hope you run the table.

woah, woah. i was a student not so very long ago. the people at wvu that were the problems were the 18-22 year old students. you KNOW we have those same students. it wasn't a knock on them. all of the other people were nice, it was the some of the students that were the "frick you, lsu" and "queers wear purple" at wvu.

i do agree however that it is majority of the didn't attend the university obnoxious fans on our side though

One tries not to paint with too broad a brush. It seems likely that the vast majority of WVU fans/supporters are, unlike most of the denizens of TD, decent people.

Good luck to WVU. I thought your team played one heck of a game. No quit in that team for sure.

JP - good post. I could not make it to the game but went to the WV last year. I had a great time with many WV fans last year. I go to the Greenbrier pretty often; WV's is awesome. I will pull for y'all the rest of the year. I have no doubt that Holgerson is good coach. Do you think he is a little immature? I was not impressed with his sideline demeanor.

i heard nothing bad about your fan base that was substantiated. rumors are rumors. when you get 70,000 people together there will always be some dumb-asses around but i heard a lot of praise for y'all. we all know what started the booing. when the "media" hi-lighted it in one NFL game as a means to slow the game down, it was assumed LSU was doing that. of course, y'all had a number of guys go down to; it was a tough game and football is a violent sport. but the reality of these situations is that if a guy is shaken up but not "injured" what is he supposed to do? have a teammate help him up and he staggers back toward the LOS so the offense can snap the ball when he isn't ready to play? maybe it's chicken shite to hit the ground sometime, but it's most definately chicken shite to try to snap the ball before the defense can get set. it's like a baseball pitcher delivering his pitch before the hitter is in the box. anyways, great post.

Unfortunately I didn't get to see the antics of Holgorsen that everyone on here is discussing, as I was watching from the upper decks of the student section. In the first 3 games, he has behaved fine, and he always seems to say the politically correct thing in interviews, so I'm not going to rush to judgement.

If I had to guess, I would say his antics Saturday were uncharacteristic, and he was just really frustrated by our poor play. I love his offensive mind so I really hope there are no underlying character or maturity issues.

And for the record I've always loved Les Miles. I like his style of play and think he's hilarious.

Sorry, but as I mentioned I am new here, what is the difference between the Tiger Rant and Score Board pages?

I love your guys passion and will continue checking this message board. I think it's a great place to get SEC fans' perspectives on our school and also just SEC info in general.
