One of my best friends is a UK fan and now lives in St. Louis. He married a Mizzou fan and regularly attends games. His wife has attended games at Commonwealth and makes fun of Mizzou's field and gameday experience. Now consider we don't have that big of a stadium and our tailgating is near the bottom of the SEC. Are you sure that this is what you want?

Any type of decent opponents and the gameday atmosphere/tailgating is pretty good. You upgrade to SEC teams and it would be pretty awesome. There is talk of renovations to bring the stadium to 80000+ if the need is there. We are getting to that and if we played SEC teams the excitement would draw even more fans. Our fanbase is thirsty for more, I can tell you that.

I hear you, but be careful what you wish for. The Football schedule is brutal and can chew you up quick. You all have a good football team, not bad, not great. According to the AP poll, UK will have this stretch including last Saturday: #12 Florida, @ #1 LSU, and @ #10 South Carolina. If you get thrown in the West, which you probably will it will only be worse. I wouldn't mind Mizzou coming to the SEC at all, in fact you bring a decent basketball team, but know your roll, we OWN the SEC when it comes to basketball.

I don't think the SEC is much tougher than the big XII this year though. But I'm not scared of tough competition. It only makes you better.

I'm not saying you are scared. I'm going to have to disagree with you on the toughness. It's not even close. If you come to the SEC, you will see.

Y'all should worry about filling your current stadium first. On average you had 10k empty seats per game in 2010.

It's much tougher. Are skill players are slightly bigger, but our men in the trenches separates us significantly.

I'm gonna have to try a few of those chicks out before I approve your application to the SEC.

I'm pretty sure the atmosphere will be like the OU game last year if teams like Bama, Arkansas, LSU, A&M, come in. The games that are shown on Fox Sports Midwest always looked full with the exception of the grassy/ Rocky M area in the endzone. I don't know if that counts towards attendance, but you do have to pay to sit or stand in that area because it's inside the gates.

The football team is actually still good considering playing with a Sophomore QB and Starting RB and other starters injured. I know their Soph QB James Franklin will be on fire his junior and senior years. Mizzou put out some good QB's recently with Daniel, Gabbert, and Brad Smith, looks like the trend is continuing. Mizzou gave OU a good game when many people thought they'd get smoked in Norman which cost OU the #1 ranking. Interested to see what they do against OSU, Texas and TAMU.
