Firstly I don't condone it, it's a pretty weak move IMO. But let's be real, it was just booing, it kind of just blows my mind that it bothers so many of you the way it appears to be doing. I'm reading responses that typically accompany myths of us fighting the elderly and knocking over porter johns. I don't think it warrants more than a "well that's stupid" and move on. You have a couple thousand hyped up, drunk, angry college kids, recipe for disaster 101. I just kind of think it's silly that it seems like to some of you this has completely tarnished the game and any conference expansion talk, and now we're the worst people on the earth. If you arrived at your disdain via some other instances than by all means that's fair, if the booing is what really made you dislike the Mountaineers, that's kind of soft IMO.

I boo opposing players all the time - dirty play, trash talking, etc. I don't boo (or cheer) injuries to opposing players, although I would have (and will in the future) be happy to boo Nick Fairley, or cheer his injury - for justifiable reasons.

Booing injured players, other than Nick Fairley, is just B$.

The booing was accompanied by the antics on the sideline by your coaching staff. They were just overmatched, and yet chose to encourage the notion that LSU somehow faked injuries to slow you down.

It shows total lack of class, and fits you and your fans perfectly. Now geaux and burn something.

Doesn't bother me. If they want to boo, let em. Whining about it on a message board accomplishes nothing except cluttering the board. They can't hear you or would care if they could.

You don't boo injured players. Your coaching staff and your fans are douchebags. And yes, it's that big of a deal.

Good so it's not bothersome?

Also perhaps I can shed a little light on why you won't find many Eer fans who are disappointed in Dana's behavior.

Now stay with me before you throw in a "shut the frick up inbred". For the past 3 years we've had a coach who was a nice guy. Stew was/is a hell of a guy, thing is, he was too nice. It got tired after a while that when we would lose all we would hear from him was praises for the other team and him acting all gracious in defeat. Don't get me wrong, it's great PR, but you kind of want a coach with a bit of fire in his belly. When we let Stew go there was a unified outcry from opposing teams because they had liked him so much, opposing fans legitimately told us that we had done a horrible thing to a good man. Do you guys get this? This guy was so unconfrontational that opposing fans liked him Again great PR, but think about all the times this year that you've needed Les to be selfish, you've needed him to be a bit of prick to the refs, you've needed him to not take the foot off the gas, with Stew we never got that. So here we have Holgs, he's got a fire in his belly, he's not giving a shite about perception he just wants to win, it's refreshing. I understand why you're pissed, you should be, I'd hate him if we played him too, but damn does it feel good to have someone like this again. So just put yourselves in our shoes for a bit, I know it's hard to grasp, but having a coach willing to be a dick is kind of nice again.

Your coach learned how to be a douche bag from one of the best during his years at Texas Tech.

I think it is just so bush league. Shows no class

Someone could suffer a season ending injury and they would just Boo away because it was all a plot to slow their unstoppable offense

many LSU fans think that we invented the Boo and that it must be a copyright infringement when other fanbases use it without proper authorization. in short, you are being booed for booing, esp booing us. we are the only real qualifyed booers and anyone else doing it is just a cheap imitation.

We can understand but don't ask us to like it. Similarly we know that your online forum BGN or WMITC don't represent everyone - but they sure do have multiple threads about TM7 and there was even poor excuse for a human who was saying "this is the type of guy who would have 6 children with 6 different women and end up penniless in the street".
What was worse - almost everyone in the thread supported him!!
WTF - I have not seen any fanbase hate an opposing player as much as I have seen in your degenerate forums.

Everyone mocks the opponents, makes fun of the stats but no one HATES them like what is going on in your forums.

Maybe it is time you realized that appreciating your "being a dick" coach comes with the descent into sub-humanity as is evidenced over there.

I just think it's absurd to think the actions of a few idiots making a low decibeled sound emittance firstly speaks for an entire fan base, and secondly actually hurt anyone.

If I'm a player I'm not even caring, and I understand it's a principle thing, but I really don't think it's something to get on a soap box about. Remember all you need is a few people who can't handle their booze to act like jack-holes, there really isn't a way to silence boo's by being overly positive. There very well could have been a large population of the fans who were legitimately concerned for the players safety, and yet how do they express themselves so they're accounted for in this huge generalization? The people being jack asses are loud when it should be quiet, they are of course going to come out loud and clear because all respectable people are being quiet.

And not that it makes it right, but given the weekly Sports Center indoctrination on injuries being faked in no huddles, it's not that surprising this happened. If you watched SC at all this week it was the topic they spoke about constantly, it's going to be fresh in peoples minds

Basically what I'm saying is it's stupid for this to be what decides if you liked or hated WVU, just as it's stupid to allow a message board to affect your perception of the school. In both cases it's a minority of outspoken individuals who feel if they make a loud enough noise they'll be paid attention to.

sub-humanity? really now. i learned to boo in tiger stadium; i booed chalie mcclendon when he called boring running plays, i booed archie manning when he played against us, i booed countless other teams, players, coaches, etc. and I WAS NOT ALONE. all this time i had no clue that i had actually descended into the realm of sub-humanity. damn. i'd better get to mass quick before i'm dead. time is running out.

I know most LSU fans won't buy it, frankly it'll take a little time to forget about the game. But I am glad you are staying back and representing your school in a good way.

We aren't. The nation heard the entire stadium booing. So a stadium filled with YOUR fans, in one of its biggest games in years, is NOT an adequate sample of the WVU fan population? GTFO.

An entire stadium ain't a minority, brah.

Really though? Remember this is the school that had both Pacman Jones and Chris Henry, I've read some pretty awful things team fans have written about them. You're always going to get some people who take it too far and lose sight of the line, and it's always going to be amplified when there is a loss and an outspoken player on the other team. Noel Devine lost both his parents to AID's, he had a pretty remarkable story, by the time of his 4th year it kind of became par for the course to see fans make fun of his past. Like I said there are always a few Updyke's.

For the record I wouldn't read WMITC, it's trash, even I find them to be ridiculous. BGN isn't bad though, I mean it's typical message board 75% crazy, 25% grounded.

How do you measure the ones that didn't boo?

Here's the thing, line 20 people up in a room, have 4 boo. Can you tell me how many didn't boo without looking? No, you're going to say "That room boo'd". The respectable thing during an injury is to be quiet, so i don't even understand how you can calculate how many people were quiet, in fact the silences likely only amplifies the boo's.

That was not about the booing
You read it out of context - I was pissed off about the multiple threads vilifying TM7 on their forums.
