I don't expect them to not let the opponent drive down the field EVER.. Gregg Williams' D is all about blitzes and that leaves a lot of open receivers, but the D got torched in the 1st half. Whatever adjustments were made at halftime seemed to help shore up the D and they made stops when necessary and got 2 turnovers. But at first it was looking grim.

dint read the thread but my 2 cents-

My biggest footnote is that in my estimation we played 2 of the top 3 offenses (along with ours) in the NFL in 3 weeks. We were one big play or turnover from upsetting GB. We did it here pulling away strong at the finish.

Dunbar wasn't bad but gotta think they missed the smarts Vilma brings in checking to other plays.

If Porter doesn't get back soon PRob may keep him in the nickel spot. Not perfect but he's coming along steadily.

Say whatcha will but the stiffening in the red zone was one of the key differences in the game- maybe THE story of the game.

Heard some commentary today that might be true too...

The condensed preseason situation many thought would give the defenses the edge. In reality the opposite might have happened (as evidenced by the high scoring league wide). On the offense the O-Line really has to work and gel as a unit. The skill positions are more individual (+ only Ingram as a new face there). On the defense, the LBs and DBs really have to work together as a unit (DL yes but not so much). That does take time & reps. We have pretty much a rotating OLB system going. PRob is fully starting for the first time. Jenkins is in his first full fledged all out year as the FS.

I'm giving them more time to gel. Let's see what they do against 2 rookie QBs in the next to games. I'm expecting a lot more like the CHI game performance vs. dueling a upper echelon offense.

I don't like how we drop into zone and rush 3 against the stronger offenses. We started to get more aggressive towards the end of the game, and it paid off. We gave him too much time for most of the game.
