He lets them move the ball on-dimensionally thru the air, knowing that his D will harden up in the red zone. I think WVU would on most nights score 2 TD's in the red zone instead of 3, but we had plenty of take-aways/strips and offense to more than make up for it.

Geno Smith is a really talented QB, so did well.

So be it.

We got this.

Each game is different and he knows how to treat each one to win each one.

Hopefully Chavis has more Zone Defense is his pocket.

LSU had 4 more TOs in them IF.

Wasn't necessary tho.

So giving up a ton of yards was all part of the master plan? They just didn't play well tonight. Nothing wrong with admitting it. They can go back, watch film, and get better.

I mentioned this earlier.

All the people complaining about the blitzing or lack thereof need to realize that WVU does not run very often. They screen. They LOVE a blitzing team.

We did not blitz in the first half much. As we all saw, we kept WVU in check til the 3rd Q. Then, after their first touchdown drive in the 2nd half, we decided to get more aggressive and blitz. Go back and watch the game. They screened the shite out of our D on the next 3 drives.

Add to the fact that our DB's were not having their best game, and WVU's Oline was extremely impressive. I have a feeling that this game will be the wake up call for our young D backfield.

That's what I don't think the WVU fans understood. We let them make mistakes by allowing them to throw the ball 60 times. Make someone go 90+ yards on every drive by throwing the ball every play and turnovers and self destruction are inevitable. There was no need to blitz and we didn't.

I our DBs could catch, Geno would have had four picks.

I'll say it again, ZONE BLITZ blow them up.

I think we're saving it.

If you don't know what zone blitz is and passing lanes, then pass on response.
