Problems with Cox whole home DVR system? (stuttering)

ever since last weekend I've been dealing with constant (as in about every 2-3 seconds) stuttering and pixelating image on the HD channels. It seems to be at its worst in the evenings.
In fact, it started last weekend just before the LSU game when my boxes started repeatedly rebooting themselves. The rebooting has only happened occassionally since. But the stuttering makes it unwatchable.
I have a technician coming out on Sunday but was wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I've unplugged the boxes for a while with no luck. Any thoughts?

your wires are fricked up and probably not receiving the information fast enough. they will probably strip it and set them. might solve the problem.

I figure wiring is not an issue since they rewired the whole house when they installed this system a few weeks ago.
Since you are also having this problem it would seem cox is having a signal problem in the area.
Let me know what they tell you and we can compare notes on sunday when the tech leaves my house.

I am having the same problem at my girlfriends place in Zachary.
Started this afternoon and hasn't let up. She called earlier to have them reset the box, but they said they couldn't due to outages in this area.
Hopefully they can fix it soon. I am sure their phone has been blowing up all afternoon.

We had a long outage this morning that took out all 3 services. Cox had 4 trucks and a team of techs at one location around the corner from my house.
Service has been restored and all is well right now. This BETTER NOT start back up tomorrow night though.
Call them and ask for a credit due to the disruptions.

I hate when people do this where I work, although it's fully understandable.. you realize an outage of all services for a few hours equivocates to just a few bucks, right?

No. I have had service interruptions since last saturday as I indicated earlier on.

I guess I spoke too soon. The digital signal to my house is as bad as ever now. Boxes keep rebooting continuously. This is pathetic. May be time to change.

Get direct tv. Sunday ticket is free. Here is my account number 68879319 call 1-800-507-4045 to save 100 dollars in bill credits.
It's a lot cheaper. I have 2 boxes (1 of them a hd dvr) and the sports channels and hd for 45 a month. Told them it was too much and it went to 35.
If you like to haggle you can get just about anything up front too for free, at least the first year.
