So for how long does this Big 12 "showing of solidarity" delay the inevitable?

I give it 4 years before the Big 12 is no more. There's just too much tension, even if everything is all "hugs and handshakes" now.

They still have a foundation with Texas and Oklahoma. It all depends on if the other members are ok with unequal sharing. It can survive with 9/10 members.

But soon Conferences will know how/where to expand to, so eventually we're going to go thru this whole cycle all over again. Plus you still have the Big East out there struggling to hold on to it's members.

The only member in the Big 12 that I see now that has flexibility to move is Mizzou. I just don't see where Mizzou is going to go.

SEC = West Germany.

Big 12 = East Germany. Everyone wants out, and wall is needed to keep people in. (got this from @bdroberts816 on twitter)

Every team has the option to move in that conference, except Baylor. Some are more vocal about it than others

I just don't see which conference is going to go after the current members in the Big 12 other then Mizzou. Every other team has baggage or suck.
Kansas has K state
OU with Okie state
Iowa state well no one wants them
Baylor same thing and leeched onto Texas
Texas Tech pretty much leeched onto Texas
Texas no one wants them with current LHN

true I just see the conference has stability right now. I don't see the Pac 12 raiding anytime soon since they announced they are happy at 12.

And the SEC said they were happy at 12...two weeks later we've got A&M.

true but who would the pac 12 pick up because it looks like they are turned off on Oklahoma and Texas.

They want both, they won't take just one. With the re-tooling of the LHN coming up, weirder things have happened.

If OU goes they will have to take Oklahoma state with them wherever they go. Texas will probably have to take Texas Tech along with them somewhere unless they go independent. They could probably dump baylor. The pac 12 could decide to go to 16 though

Iowa State, K State, Texas Tech. Sure they can move but the question is where?

i dont see how the have nots can like this. it is last year all over again and they run the risk of missing out on the big east filling its new spots.

2 weeks after the BCS national championship game. This will be when the "realignment" talk resumes.

If the conference follows through with the plan for the members to assign TV rights to the Big XII, then the league won't be going anywhere for the duration of the agreement, unless a majority of members decide to make a change. Pretty hard to come up with a scenario where five decide to leave.
