i think your team is damn good and will make the playoffs. IMO, this game is crucial to our season. we win this and we are off and running to a possible 7-1 or even 8-1 start realistically. The first 3 games we play are tough, GB, da bears and the texans, pretty tough stretch. possibly toughest of the season. we get through this 2-1 and i will be happy.

Texans are legit. Foster being out helps. If we stop the run, we win easily. Keeps their play action game ineffective and thus renders Schaub ineffective. But if we don't stay discipline and maintain gap responsibility, then their cutback run game will eat us up even without Foster (Tate is pretty good too). We'll be in a fight if that happens.
While much improved, the Texans defense is still susceptible to downfield passing. They've played two avg to below avg NFL QBs in Collins and Henne. The biggest problem for us may just be having film on them. Its a new defense. In my opinion, the best film we can watch is the Dallas game from 2009 when Wade took the def back over and they beat us for our first loss. He'll prob try to run that same gameplan.....but I'm sure Payton has figured that out already.
Texans are essentially Packers lite with talent level at every position just one notch below GB. Same 3-4 defense and good offense, although the Texans are much more run dependent. I know its a cliche in the league that if you stop the run you win, but in this case, its true. NFL is a passing league now, but Texans still live and die by the run game.

I fully endorse this message.

My thoughts exactly.
Look for the Saints to win the coin flip, receive the opening kickoff, run the first 12-15 plays scripted and to score a TD. If they are able to hold the Texans on their possession to a punt, look for the start of a ball control rushing attack. Then the Texans can look forward to a long afternoon.
With that said, I am confident in a Saints victory even if this goes into a shootout.
