Is Kansas tied to Kstate the way OU is to OSU?

any kansas area posters know?
if they are tied to each other i think they are going to end up losers in all this. stuck in some amalgamation of the mwc/big east/bevo -9 god knows what.
if they are not, they should cut ties and seek shelter with Mizzou in the B1G. KU and Mizzou are both AAU schools and together bring KC and STL markets to the B1G Network.

just curious, did you see how many rushing yards Kansas gave up last Saturday?
do the homework, then come back, and tell me if you think any conference would want that football program.

a) what does rushing yards given up have to do with conference expansion. its about MONEY and MARKETS, not how good your football team is this year.
b) i said B1G not SEC

Nope, the Board would like them to stay together but it's not required. KU can leave them out to dry if they really wanted to. Don't know if KU would actually do that to them.

I think you just answered your own question since one is in the BIG and the other in the Big 12.

if the bevo 9 dissolves i am sure there would be some pressure on iowa from politicians to help save iowa state from purgatory. iowa state is an AAU institution as well, which works in its favor.

They've been together forever so I wouldn't think they would just cut ties and leave each other.

im not saying they would want to, they might have to in order to self preserve.
KU is a gigantic national brand, it doesnt need to be in conf usa

I understand, but I think a conference(say Big 10) would take on K-State just to get KU.

i dont know about the B1G. KState is a very poorly ranked school ~ 150 and not an AAU member. they also bring no market or national appeal.
