How would it benefit JJ to join the team at this point of the season

It would offer another running threat if the pass isn't available.

In addition, his chances of being the starter at that point are almost nil

HE WILL NOT START. I'm not saying this to you specifically, just to those that think he may. There is no way in hell he would start.

It seems the smartest thing he could do is redshirt this season.

What exactly does this mean? People seem to think if JJ redshirts, he immediately is put on the LSU roster for next season and beats out Mett. Mett vs JJ would be another red hot poke in the eye for the program. I have no doubt that that WILL NOT happen.

At some point this season, I think JJ will be reinstated. His role thereafter is anyone's guess. I will tell you 100%, he will not start.

That's not the way Miles is. Some people say, "Miles truly has a predicament." I don't see it that way.

It's the only logical option. Then again, this is the rant so logistics are left at the door.

Man, I still can't believe people are sitting here and defending JJ. We had the worst passing offense in the SEC last year. We were also ranked one of the worst in the country. We had all this hype about how JJ was going to blow up the season. He kicked a dude in the head and gets arrested. Dear Lord please do not let him red short and stay. Everything is fine right now. Throwing him back into the mix will do nothing but cause problems. I do not hate him or anything like that, but he is a negative asset to LSU.

My question if he is redshirted (which I pray to God he is not) leave the 2012 team unscarred by him. Will we have to go through another summer PR campaign having to listen to how much he has improved and matured and turned into a leader after not being one all his career he suddenly transformed! I hope I dont have to listen to another spring and summer of that nonsense!

Why can't people just let this play out?

If we keep winning with Lee, Les will not change horses in midstream. If we falter with Lee and JJ is reinstated then JJ probably plays.

Anything beyond that is a discussion for another day.

Regardless, it's Miles' decision and he's probably not consulting anyone on the freakin' Rant!

He supposedly graduates in December. If so, he can transfer anywhere without having to sit out.

wont happen.... I am not sure JJ is much smarter than a box of hair, but.... I promise you he can see he has NO CHANCE of competing let alone beating out Mett. NONE, NOTTA....
