Not really sure Lee can carry us if a defense shuts down our running game the entire 4 quarters!

And what defense would do that? Threads like these are dumb.

And lee has demonstrated that he is capable of moving us down the field with his arm.

Yes. I seriously doubt our run game will ever be completely shut down. Could happen though

As long as we score more points than the other team, sure.

Yes JL will throw for 1000 yds and 10 TDs.

Look at Lee's completion percentages for the last couple games.

I think our defense will always keep us in the game. If the running game is shut down, we would need to have solid special teams, force a couple turnovers, and not turn the ball over. Then, I think we could beat anyone.

If you pass the ball you should be able to run. Worked Thursday.

Nice 2nd post. Ok lets look at this logically. If Alabama were to commit to putting 8 and 9 in box on every play they could seriously limit our running game. Given that we could easily throw for 300 yds and 4 tds. Our D would still limit them to 17 pts and we win 31-17.......so yes.

If a defense shuts down the LSU rushing attack for 4 quarters they deserve to win. Kudos to them and quit worrying about it, alter.

yes - with our defense and special teams play and the ability to get a short field we can win throwing the ball - no question in my mind. Especially now that we have shepard back. he is a game breaker. It might be 12 to 10 or 13 to 7 or something like that but yes we can win without the run being effective. We have too many weapons at receiver and lee has a quick release and is reading the blitz and defenses much better this year. You cant cover randle, shepard, peterson and beckham all one on one - they are too good. too much talent. No team has that many good corners or safeties !!
