They is no way in hell the Big Ten will take kansas, kansas st. or iowa state.

They will wait out notre dame to run out of options and take them for number 13 and then take the next best team whomever the hell that may be.

do we have enough decent teams in the middle of the country to gain a bcs spot? (not in a conference listed above)
boise
air force
tulsa
baylor
smu
houston
rice

i just dont see it

there are a lot of teams like louisville and USF that are going to be left out. maybe they can all team up and form a conference?

Won't happen they would need atleast 5 spots for this because of the non AQ teams.

lol

kansas and iowa state both have AAU membership, which appears to be the only requirement academically speaking. kansas state may be tied to kansas due to political issues, though i am not an expert with that states internal workings.

boise state is screwed unless it can help create a new conference.

the big east is not "going away;" there are several other basketball/olympic sports schools already in the conference, so it will be maintained in some form.

this is stupid and you are not seeing the big picture. if we head to 16 team conferences, they may not stay in the NCAA.

non AQs can kiss their arse, these BCS conferences will hold ALL the power

this.

big ten is totally satisfied with their current 12 teams; as they should be.

yep.

and I am all for the non AQ schools being forced to drop big time football due to budget constraints. Total waste of resources.

so the power conferences move to 16, create a playoff, and ND wouldnt be able to participate due to being "independent". you think ND is gonna sit back and let that happen?

um, no, obviously...

but they are not going to join the b1G because of the "big east going away" which is what your first post claimed. like i said, the big east will be maintained in some form, too many olympic sport schools for one to think otherwise.

If the BCS moves away from the NCAA it wouldnt have a choice. There would be two leagues. The BCS and the NCAA. ND would kick arse in the NCAA though!
