Yes, looks like ACC holds together. So scratch off VT and FSU.
That leaves Mizzou and WVU. Mizzou is sitting in the catbird seat. B1G, PAC, and SEC appear to want them.
So, no I do not think it's out of realm of possibilities for TCU to be considered.

I agree with you Below are some of my thought for what it is worth -- Which is not much.
There are some good choices in the ACC but not sure anybody wants to cough up the $20 million. So assuming the $20 million figure keeps all the ACC members in place who are the possibilities?
Assuming A&M is already a member --
Texas - Not a good fit because of their need to control and be a dominate member.
Oklahoma - Probably going to the Pac 12 but would like to have them
Oklahoma St. - Will follow Oklahoma
Texas Tech - Will go/stay with Texas
Missouri- Seems to me a better fit with the Big 10 but may be best option available
Kansas - Kansas and Kentucky in the same league - but seems more like a Big 10 team
West Virginia - Seems to be a reasonable choice
East Carolina/SMU - Does not seem to be SEC ready
Louisville/Cincinnati/Memphis - No (How can you say beneath SEC caliber in a nice way)
TCU - Could be a possibility.
South Florida - Maybe (Florida may not like this very much)
Central Florida/FIU - Not if South Florida is considered and probably not anyway
Southern Mississippi/Troy - No need for a 3rd. team in one state
Baylor/Rice/Houston - Nice thought but probably not able to compete
Notre Dame - I would like this but I think they have a lot in common with Texas.
ULL/ULM/La Tech/Ark St. - Got to be joking.
Boise St/BYU - Makes a nice skiing vacation every other year - can't think of a good reason
If we feel the need to go to a Super Conference with 16 teams (or more) will we any better off than we are today. I think it would be great if we got Oklahoma, Oklahoma St. and West Virginia however Missouri, TCU, West Virginia and South Florida may be the best choices available. I'm sure I forgot some team that would make a good addition.
In any case
