I don't get this. The entire Saints fanbase is supposed to be dicks, rude, arrogant, taunt, fight, etc the Bears fans that come to New Orleans for a football game because of some douche's sign 5 years ago?

Honestly, you guys realize that the few bears fans that are coming to this game are (more than likely) rich, older, classy fans right?

Being dicks is only going to make these rich, older, classy(er) Bears fans go home and talk about how shitty Saints fans are, etc. Just seems rather counter productive to me... but whatta I know?!

The Saints fans at that game endured a LOT worse than that stupid sign.

I'm going to be nice to any fan of any opposing team I see. That's my nature.

I had a friend and his mom there and he still talks about how horrible they were treated. this sign is just the only evidence.

eta: as a season ticket holder I will choose not to participate in any "revenge" antics but I will not fault those who do.

I was at the game with a group of guys and the Bears fans were pretty bad. Just a rough group overall - mostly southsiders I assume.

I made that trip in '07 and if every fricking Bears fan that shows up gets raped in the arse by a cactus I'd be ok with it. A guy in the concession line asked me if my house was flooded. I told him that I no longer lived there and then mid sentence he cuts me off and starts going off on how NOLA is such a shithole anyway and how it was God's way of telling that city it's time to change and all this shite. I cut him off and told him that my entire family still lived there and lost everything they ever had and his response was that's what you get when you live in such a shitty city. I got in his face and some hunchback security guard got between us. Everytime I went to the bathroom one of those idiots would flush the toilet and yell, "look Saints fans, you're city is being flushed again." It must have been pretty bad in the ladies room too because I saw more than a few women come out with tears in their eyes. Those fans were inhumane.
