re: UF, Arky, Bama...Can we win all these games with the offensive strategy

The prudent thing to do last night was to pound the ball and eat up the clock. Their offense was doing NOTHING. I think we will open it up more as the season progresses. But as long as it works, I say keep doing it!

More than anything else we need to find a man that can kick off. His short kicks gives the ball to the opponent about the 35to40 yard line. Puts a lot of pressure on the DF.

The offensive strategy is to grind the other team down, and take advantage when they stack the box. Miles don't necessarily care about scoring on every possession. Maybe they would like to, but sometimes they just play for field position, and try to stay on the field long enough for the D to rest. We've got the speed and talent on D to bail out the O when they struggle.
I think we'll struggle when we go up against a D that can penetrate our line and consistently make us go 3 and out. That will mean less rest for the D and less opportunities for the O to make a play.
What we really need to work on is our special teams play. That is where we can really shoot ourselves in the foot.

this. Lee obviously has the talent to make the big throws when we need it...let him throw vertical to stretch the field...it'll loosen up the LOS so our guys aint running into 8-9 guys every frickin time

And once again I will repeat that Bama's 2011 defense is better than their 2009 version

Offense is better this year than last, and we beat some of those teams last year, so yes.

I want them prepping for an unbalanced attack (primary run) and come out throwing the ball IMHO.

I agree. Why show Alabama anything. Les will do what is needed to win. This season may come down to the Bama game. Even if we stumble at some point we will need the head to head with Bama to have a chance at MNC.

Then we'll throw it over their heads.
I don't get some of you. We've been bitching for 2-3 years about how the offense has no identity. It was a jack of all trades, but master of none. Now, we have that identity, we're lining up running right at people and beating them by 2 TDs. What we're doing now is great.
Anyone who wants Lee slinging the ball all over the field needs to remember that he's not the second coming of Peyton Manning.
We all said the same thing about Bama last year, and Les had a great offensive game plan. I have confidence he will do the same this year. Bama's defense is better this year, but so is our offense.
