I never bet against home teams favored by more than 4 in early NFL games. Both of those teams are riding high this week but will both be traveling to play against upset teams. I wouldn't like either as locks.

With that being said if you only bet one of those go Ravens. Without a doubt.

But still not good enough to stay within 20 of Wisky. They will wear them down in the second half with ease.

I've got LSU, Wisky, and the Ravens this week separately and a parlay.

PJ is actually right for a change.

Wisconsin with Russell Wilson is the play here. If Wilson was still at NC St, then I'd be all over NIU.

No idea WTF NC St coaches were thinking for letting him walk. He was the MAIN reason why NC State had played well the last 3 years.

It's an LSU board, what do you expect?

The one I'm wondering about is how Miami is a 3 point favorite over Ohio State. What am I missing here? And I know 4 Ohio State players are suspended, but there has to be more.

Factor in that tOSU struggled to beat Toledo.

Put the house against Wisconsin if PJ says this.

MSU is a running team, and LSU's run D will stonewall MSU for the most part.

MSU's weakness on D is against the run, and LSU's 2-headed monster of Ware/Ford will gash MSU. I fully expect them to load 8 men in the box. Our WRs are getting better: Randle is healthy, OBJ is very good, Boone can get deep and Landry showed he can catch the ball and take a hit.

A steady diet of Ware/Ford and playaction will kill MSU.

I have mixed feelings on this one. On the one hand, we should have like 20 straight wins against MSU, on the other QB play is still so uncertain and the last time in Starkville it took a goalline stand to win. I think a more sure bet is either TTU over New Mexico or Hawaii over UNLV.

People keep going back to 2 years ago in this thread. That was a messy game weather-wise and it was Anthony Dixon's last stand, if you will, against LSU.

My point is - that game was the exception, not the rule, over the last decade. Obviously anything can happen in football but if LSU wins the turnover battle this game will not be as close as all the "experts" are calling for.

Well said sir. I'm not buying the Thursday night home dog in this one.

Is MSU's offense better than Oregon? No
Is MSU's defense better than Oregon's? No
Is MSU at home? Yes. But thats not enough to outweigh the two previous NOs.
