Without hesitation, he said that he thinks the 14th team will be Florida State.

He likes the move to get A&M for the TV markets, the approximately 450,000 living alumni, and the academics.

He also likes Virginia Tech for the academics, but he thinks they are a little too far away.

Finally Coach said that Missouri is way too far away, and they don't bring nearly enough to the bargaining table.

Take it for what it's worth.

FSU, VT, A&M are all fits. I never bought the idea that UF is dead set on keeping FSU out of the SEC.

Florida State would be fun too. Just about have the spouse talked into Motorhome for road trips!

i agree with him 100%. my overwhelming desire for #14 is FSU. it would be a perfect fit. i kinda doubt, however, that he is in the loop but would hope like hell i'm just ignorant of the facts.

My dream scenario.

Reasons:
-It doesn't result in realignment of the conference (sending schools east or west).
-It adds a tough team to the East to balance the conference, which is good because:
Bama, Aub, Arky, LSU =/= USCe, UGA, UT, & UF
(I'll give UK + Vandy a push with the Miss teams).

- They add value to the TV contract by increasing national appeal.
(Geographic markets are overrated and only cause additional traveling costs for all other sports.)

- They fit in the SEC moreso than any other 14th team candidate (more than Clemson, VT, WV, etc).
-It hurts Aub, Bama, Florida in recruiting.
-It helps LSU get out of the annual Florida game.
-I'll get to see some more FSU/LSU matchups.

The women are fiyah!

My thoughts exactly. Tally is such a great town to party in, and they would easily jump to the top three in the SEC as far as women are concerned.

Would shite myself if FSU joined in. The only school I would be happy with.

I'd like to expand to 16 teams and get the whole process over with in one shot. If FSU and Va. Tech are willing to join I think we could get Oklahoma as well. The problem is that Oklahoma may move in the direction of the PAC-12 before the SEC could make arrangements with FSU and Va. Tech.

Said it before and I'll say it again. Florida State is the best possible fit for a 14th team. If we go beyond that then we could look at Virginia Tech, Clemson, etc. But for now the effort should be to get FSU.

Jimbo and FSU are not afraid of the SEC.
