Said it wouldn't be likely if someone from the Big 12 didn't approve.

Joe also gave Trent an extension this summer so I don't trust his judgement right now.

The Big12-2 is going to die. It's just a matter of time. ATM, UT, and the two oklahoma schools are going to end up somewhere. The rest better start trying hook on to the coat tails of someone else. Baylor may be saving their conference for an extra year or two, but No one is going to want them after this.

good. Im for A&M joining, and another team in the east (VT or FSU) to go to 14. But i dont want anyone if it means we eventually go to 16.

Expansion dilutes. Don't mess with our sacred 12.

You were probably the same guy saying "10 is the perfect number" in the early 90s. The SEC expanding is good for the conference. Deal with it.

Kansas and Mizzou will be fine as well, without anyone else's help. KState will latch on to Kansas (they are barely even separate universities as they share the same board of directors/regents) and they will be fine also. At worst, those 3 have a home in the Big East. TTech may have a spot in the Big East also if they don't end up in the PAC with UT/OU/OSU.
Baylor and Iowa State are in deep shite. Especially Baylor.

Big 12 is walking corpse now everyone is just jockeying for the best they can hope for. Texas AM will either come to SEC or go somewhere else. This whole thing is being driven by money and TV sets. Lots of both. I dont like expansiion, but either SEC takes AM or risks losing all that to someone else. Dont see that happening

There is more money potential in superconferences than anything else we're looking at now. If we don't get into it, somebody else will, maybe one of the BCS conferences, maybe all of them. And with the money they earn they'll be able to buy more bowls and power. Then they come after us. Right now we have the crystal trophy and we have the SEC Championship Game and those are the best things to have. But superconferences is a thing of the future. If we don't get a piece of that action we risk everything we have. Not now, but ten years from now.

There's a lot of money in those superconferences.
