Now that Iowa St. is mouthing off rumor is that SEC is strongly considering waving the lawsuit condition.

They just issued a statement saying they weren't waving any right to legal action either.

I'm surprised it took Iowa St this long to get involved. Look for Kansas and Kansas St to jump into the mix at any time as well.

So the letter the sec released is meaningless? Sec needs to sue them in return for being liars

This is all good news. The more parties that threaten to sue the more likely this all gets too complicated to implement.
A lot of business does not get done due to legal uncertainties and the threat of litigation. In short, it makes it not worth it.
Here's hoping!

As far as the SEC is concerned that letter is a legal document. All parties agreed on the conditions for which the SEC would accept TAMU, and then the SEC moved forward in good faith.. A judge should throw these idiots out on their collective asses

Five Big East schools sued Miami, Boston College and the Atlantic Coast Conference on Friday, painting the ACC's expansion plans as a secret conspiracy that would ruin the programs left behind.
this is from the article i posted earlier today. very similar stories-probably similar endings.

So I take it Beebe now feels the need to explain to us what was already clearly written in the "shall not sue" letter?

Win the race to the courthouse door and file a lawsuit in Birmingham.
C'mon, Slive, do it yesterday.
