Closure to last season's end- starting anew

So I still have not watched the Marshawn Lynch run from the playoff game since I saw it live. Every time its shown on TV, I change the channel or walk away. Should I watch it in order to put closure to last season as we are on the eve of a new season? I'm thinking about pulling the trigger in a bit. It's gonna be tough, but I think it may be necessary.

I'm not sure why you'd need to. But, if anything, you can look forward to Ingram making other defenses look that bad.

Saints defensive players said it was the first thing waiting for them when they returned. Has been shown more than once and mentioned regularly. They're using the sour taste as motivation. I've seen it and don't really shy away. I have a catalog of infamous Saints history that makes that a footnote. At least that was in the playoffs. That's not even in the ballpark of greatest pain. It was a dark day but in the the golden age of Saints football. There were some awfully black days back in the black ages.

I know some players said the Seattle film wasn’t hiding from them when they came back to work. Did you still want them to have that chip on their shoulder?
“We discussed it sometimes this week. It’s always brought up to them almost every single week. I coach with a chip on my shoulder and they play with a chip on their shoulders too. It’s a good group of guys to start the season out with. I can’t wait to watch them play.”
He said this yesterday.

i guarantee thats their #1 motivator this season. That's all people in the media associate with the saints. "the run" oh god it makes me sick

Honestly, that was one of the best runs that I've seen since Barry Sanders. Not even trying to be an arse - it was just an amazing run.

It was a fantastic run, but honestly imo it was more indicative of the defense's inability to tackle than his running ability. The way he just threw Tracy Porter aside..

Because I haven't watched it? I'm not saying its not a great run, it is. You're obviously not a Saints fan cause you "don't get it". So GTFO and go play with your dolls or something.

You're just trying to hard to be a Saints fan. Appreciate good football when you see it. "I can't watch I can't watch!" sorry it just sounds juvenile. There's plenty of us that have seen much worse than that, and others even worse than that. Stop trying to attract attention to yourself with this "i need closure, is it safe to watch the play now?" bullshite

I saw when it happened and have seen the replays a good bit also. It was a helluva run but there have plays that pissed me off worse than that play in the time since I have been following the Saints (1989), I was seven. Bad calls by an official are the worst. I remember when Jimmy Spencer picked off Troy Aikman in '94 and ran it back for a TD but was called out of bounds about 20 yards or so before he crossed the goal line(he did not step out of bounds). The very next play Jim Everett went to the endzone for Quinn Early but the Cowboys DB clearly interfered with Early before the ball got there. Alas, no flag was thrown. Plays like that piss me off more than when a guy just makes a great play like Marshawn Lynch.
