I always thought it was, too, but apparently some football players welcome the nickname.
I remember during one draft, Goodell said "First Name, 'Silverback', Last Name"

"The Great Wall" does go well for the D Line since some on here like the Chinese Bandits the Great Wall has a Chinese theme. I know some on here may think naming a defense kind of childish, but I would bet the players really would enjoy being known as a collective unit on defense by a special name. Heck, grownups on ESPN are throwing names out there right now for our defense.
