There was a clear cut identity problem

I really think that the offense had no "personality" the last 2 years, at least last night there was a purpose, albeit a bit boring, but we stuck with a philosophy that appeared to work last night!

It's definitely not an exciting offense under Miles. It gets the job done though. Most of the time. It could be better.

I think you and I are on the same page. Personality or identity it's really semantics. I think after last night that the offense has been told and drilled that we are going to run the football and extend the defense vertically with play action.

We had an identity but we will still need to attack the secondary of the SEC opponents and we should practice it coming up, or, we will get stuffed by a couple of teams. If Alabama puts 9 men in the box and we keep running it up the gut = loss. We have to get 150-180 yards passing from our QB and a few 250 yard games to show we can do it. If we do not get that against bad teams, we need to fix this. However, we are on the right track, just need to mix it up some, like we did with DPeterson with a tight formation.
