If JJ started the season in this fashion, how would you respond?

Lee’sstatistics were modest - he completed 10-of-22 for 98 yards and a touchdown - but he was hampered by severaldrops by his receiversand didn’t turn the ballover

I would say the receivers need to catch the balls that hit them in both hands.

I respond by saying that I'm happy Lee is at QB, and hope JJ never takes another snap at LSU.

At least 4 passes that should have been completed for another 100+ yards - 14 of 22 for 200 yds would look much better.
Considering all the 4 and 5 star talent at WR, we sure have underperformed at that position for the last several years.

JJ's ability to run for a decisive first down or two in a game makes him a better overall QB than Lee IMO.

Other than that, they look pretty even to me - both have some abilities and some obvious weaknesses.

In the end, if I had to choose who would start, I would choose - not the one who would move the ball better, but the one who would be less likely to turn it over - and for me, that's still Jefferson.

I guess this proves LSU RB's really do run better when Lee is in the game.

I would say the same thing I said about JL, that he made some good throws he could have had two TD passes, that would have been half of what JJ threw last year. I know some think other wise but this is the first game in a long time the offense looked organized and knew what the hell was going on. Every QB makes bad throws in a game JL didn't have many.

No matter who the QB was, I would say the same thing: It was a very average performance.

The biggest difference I saw is that there were no real glaring game-management issues with Lee at QB.

I'm more disappointed that our receivers cannot consistently get separation from the DBs.

I like JL's game. His footwork looked better. Without half those drops, he throws for 150 yards. If JJ had these stats I'd say the same thing. In fact, JJ suffered from a lot of drops last year. I don't like the two QB thing so, that's my bias.

I don't get it. These guys are blue chippers. Why so many drops?

We didn't look confused on offense, that's enough of improvement there

First of all, it was pretty obvious that Lee was not allowed to pass the ball much. From the get go Les' intention was to win this game on the ground and only let Lee pass when necessary. It's as if Les was paranoid to let him loose. It seems as if Les is more comfortable with JJ for some reason. Then of course the receivers need to learn to catch.

JJ doesn't throw the ball downfield much and he is not very good at it. That's why Lee came in to save his butt last year a few times. If anybody thinks JJ can make that throw to D Peterson they are lying to themselves.

we need these young receivers to step up their game. Lee would have completed 75% of his passes had not been for the drops. I would like to see Landry more involved
