I've always wondered this. This year i have some long breaks and would like to give the bass a shot. Whats the rules with this? Is it worth trying? Tips on it?

The only law I know is that you can't run a motor in em.

ETA: And no way I would keep anything out of those nasty arse waters.

Have a fishing license. Agents always out there. U can troll or canoe / kayak and fish. Search this board for info / tips. Good luck.

I don't have any experience in there, but I'd start with baby brush hogs and maybe a small spinnerbait if it were me.

Find any cover sticking out of water away from the bank a ways. Worms, spinner baits, crank baits.

Watermelon red, watermelon candy red, and plum are a few of my favorites. Also sapphire blue.
