add SMU, Houston and another team and you have a decent mid-major type conference.

Gerry--We almost agree on the picks.

Kansas & K-State to the Big East, concur.

Mizzou--concur but if to the SEC, will be looking to bail once B1G comes calling.

Okie State--Most likely PAC-12 as a package deal with OU.

TX Tech--Possibly PAC-12 if they will agree to a three-team package deal. If not most likely Mountain West.

Iowa State--MAC. MAC has 13 teams so Iowa State would even out the brackets.

Baylor--The way they've pissed off everyone even the Sun Belt may pass. No chance at C-USA as all the Texas teams are former SWC and their grudges run deep. The WAC needs one more football member to make eight, and since they'll take anyone with a pulse (TX State San Marcos, UTSA, Denver, Seattle, even my alma mater UT Arlington) this may happen.

I'd love to see both sides tied up in court for years only to see offsetting judgments on the lawsuits.

I know but I feel like it's gonna happen. I just don't see any of the ACC teams leaving a conference that is in no danger of falling apart.

Don't sleep on the idea of Iowa State to the Big Ten; they're an AAU institution, fit solidly within the culture-- far moreso than they do with a Texas or an OU currently--- and they may be the price that the big Big Ten powers require for expansion, in that they really aren't a threat to the major programs.

Wrong unless you consider the sun belt a decent mid-major type conference.

If Texas and OU go to the PAC then I think Tech and Okie Lite go with them.

Kansas / Kansas State to Big East.

Missouri to SEC or Big 10.

Baylor / Iowa St. to Conf USA or something

Good point. But would Iowa try to block their entry?

wut? You can't be serious.

A conference consisting of:

Kansas
Kansas St
Missouri
Iowa State
Oklahoma State
Baylor
Texas Tech
SMU
Houston

would be much better than the Sun Belt and it wouldn't even be close. That would easily be the best mid-major conference and could probably challenge the Big East in regards to quality football.

There is no reason to believe they would; it's the Hawkeye State for a reason. Iowa dominates ISU (39-19), and views itself as a program entirely on a different level. The schools are used to playing one another, and there isn't a stigma from picking up little brother from a small conference-- Iowa State might be the worst Big Six conference football school over the past 60 years, but they're still a Big Six conference team.
