It's definitely a creepy movie, especially for a Disney movie

I was just thinking about this movie the other day. It was one creepy movie. I was so young that I don't even remember the premise - just a lot of scary scenes, a rundown circus, and a bunch of spiders.

I'd like to see it again.

based on a creepy Ray Bradbury book (pretty good adaptation, too). I loved this movie as a kid. I love Jason Robards.

Good and creepy. I think I was like 9. That age merry go round was interesting.

"By the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes...."

I really loved this movie when it came out but not sure how well it holds up. I haven't seen it in ages.

Great movie. Picked it up on DVD at BestBuy for 5 bucks and introduced it to my kids recently.

Good movie, excellent book.

If you want to read a MASTER of story telling read Bradbury. When Stephen King is at his best, where is descriptions are so real and tangible all 5 senses tingle with the elements he's describing, he's almost as good as Bradbury.

Bradbury horror/sci-fi is good, but I'd also recommend a book called "Dandelion Wine".

LINK

quote:

Dandelion Wine takes us into the summer of 1928, and to all the wondrous and magical events in the life of a 12-year-old Midwestern boy named Douglas Spaulding. This tender, openly affectionate story of a young man's voyage of discovery is certainly more mainstream than exotic. No walking dead or spaceships to Mars here. Yet those who wish to experience the unique magic of early Bradbury as a prose stylist should find Dandelion Wine most refreshing. --Stanley Wiater
