#2 on Rivals
Okie TV station
His family is from Baton Rouge and NOLA and in a Scout subscription article he said they all wanted him to go to LSU.
He committed early in the process(3/12/10)to OU.
Some East Texas kids are legendary academic risks but we all know it is hard to not be eligible for OU. Poor kid is missing out on being on ESPNU right now.![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

NORMAN, Oklahoma – Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops said Monday that incoming freshman receiver Trey Metoyer will not be academically eligible and cannot join the Sooners this semester.
The 6-foot-2-inch Metoyer was ranked by Rivals.com as the second best wide receiver in the 2011 class and the No. 12 overall recruit in the nation, making him the highest-rated recruit in OU's freshman class.
Because he failed to meet OU's academic requirements, he will instead spend the fall semester at Hargrave Military Academy in Virginia. He will have the opportunity to transfer to OU in January if he raises his grades.
Stoops said he expects Metoyer to play football at Hargrave, but does not think that will cost Metoyer a year of college eligibility.

This is probably really good news to the ears of Dorial Green-Beckham. OU loses it's best WR after this season in Broyles and their prized WR recruit coming in this year is now not going to make it. DGB could the man from year 1 now at OU and that means getting a TON of passes thrown your way in a watered down conference.
